Aircraft HexID selection

All aircraft have a unique 24-bit identifier assigned to them by the International Civil Avation Organisation (ICAO). This follows the aircraft even if it changes owner or registration.

This 24-bit identifier is most often specified as 6 hexadecimal characters (i.e. 0, 1, 2, ..., 9, A, B, ... F). The ICAO assigns consecutive blocks of addresses to different countries.

Once an aircraft identifier has been found, usually by a general search, then it can be useful to identify all the movements of the particular aircraft over a period. To do this, enter the required value in this field (preferably by cut and paste!).

A future version could possibly allow for a consecutive range of addresses : for future study!
